Bri's Birthday Part 2

So here is what we did for Bri's birthday. He went to work for a bit and the office gang brought donuts and fruit and gave him a gift certificate for Unita Golf. Then we went for a late lunch to Cheesecake Factory. I wanted to take his picture, but he hates that and finally after threatening him with either a picture or the waiters singing to him, he suddenly thought a picture was an okay idea.

I told Brian that no birthday was complete without a little shopping at Nordstrom. He never goes there for himself, but I convinced him to just look. Well, he got the hang of it pretty quickly and bought some stylin' shoes!

Brian and I after shopping!

Jordy and Kuri came over tonight for cake and ice cream. Brian is sporting his new Red Sox hat picked out by Jordy which will be perfect for the boys' trip this summer. Ben is wearing the Nike hat he gave Bri. Nick and Lindsi had both pack meeting and Young Women's so they had us all out to dinner on Sunday for a great BBQ! Nick thought that it would be a nice treat to have a BBQ that Bri didn't have to cook! I surprised Brian with tickets to the James Taylor/Carole King concert in July. He is very hard to buy for so I've decided no more golf shirts; we are doing event type gifts. Thanks kids for making Dad's birthday so great. Happy Birthday babe-we all love you so much!

Ben's Last Morning Show

The entire crew of the Morning Show.
Today was Ben's last time doing the sports for the 6th Grade Morning Show at Bella Vista. Each Monday the sixth grade would do a little news show with weather and current events. Ben and his buddy Brandon decided that the program needed a little sports segment, so with the blessing of their News Director/teacher Mrs. Cope, off they went. They actually were very good and accurate with their info. Mrs. Cope thinks they have a career in broadcasting, but they can't forget where they got their start!

Pizza, Pasta and Provo

Ever since Braden and Abby have come to live with Nick and Lindsi, I have been able to spend a day or so a week with them while Lindsi works. I was trying to think of fun things to do with them on our Tuesdays with Cin (as Braden calls it). We've seen movies, gone bowling, run errands, ate treats and one of our favorite activities, finding all 50 states' license plates. So far, we are more than 1/2 done, but we are still looking for the elusive Hawaii! Saturday, we went with Jordan, Kuri, Pinny, Nick and kids to Pizza Pie Cafe in Provo. It's like an all you can eat pizza, pasta buffet that is super cheap and I'm sure a hit with the college crowd. Well, as we are walking in, the kids spy an Oregon plate (B and A's home state) so of course we needed a picture!

Saturday with My Sisters

On Saturday, I went to the Tri Delta Pansy Breakfast at Market Street Grill. I enjoyed being part of a sorority in college, but over the years had lost touch with many of the girls. I found out that my good friend and neighbor Carrie Taylor was a Tri Delt as well (she pledged a few years after me) and she encouraged me to get involved with the alumni association. It's been fun to go to the events and laugh about the 80s and our college years. There were ladies from the 50s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s at the brunch. Here's a picture of Carrie, Lars, Kathy (we pledged the same year) and me after the brunch.

The Plays the Thing

On Thursday, Ben performed in his sixth grade play A Midsummer's Night Dream. His part was quite funny and he cracked everyone up with his pretend dying scene which he repeated several times. His costume, complete with donkey ears, was great. Nick, Braden, Abby and my mom came , so it was a fun night. We missed Kuri and Pinny as they had work.

While it would be impossible to blog everything in our lives, I am going to hit the highlights of the last few weeks.
We had a nice Easter in St. George; it was just Bri, Ben and I as our two cute girls had hospital shifts. Ben and Brian golfed with Dan and Matt Kaelberer on Friday and I'm happy to report that Team Pugmire beat Team K by two strokes!

The boys went to the Priesthood Session (Ben's first) and we enjoyed conference, some good meals, a great sandwich from Tom's Deli (the absolute best in town) and some sunshine!

Ben had a successful hunt for his Easter basket as well!

Today, we attended our first BYU Blue White Spring Football Game. Jordan asked us to go and so even though we are huge Ute Fans, we love Jordan more so off we went! Brian was dressed in blue and it was a fun event. Tried to get a picture with Bronco, but couldn't so settled for a nice shot with LaVell! And I even learned to Rise and Shout with the fans! Now, we still love our Utes, but we are excited to see Jord play the next few years!

Welcome to Our Blog

Hi Everyone! I am finally in the 21st Century and the owner of a blog! I have enjoyed reading (okay stalking) lots of blogs and am excited to be able to journal the adventures of my fabulous family. Thanks Kuri, for getting this up and running.
